A discovery
Whilst searching for my only pair of smartish shoes (as opposed to my other pair of shoes, which have year-old mud on them) I found my Mogwai music box. This pleased me greatly. Once more I can enjoy Tracy in all its twinkly plinkiness.
I’ve hardly been spending any time at all in my bedroom recently, other than to sleep. This has resulted in it sinking into an even direr state than usual, and an even more marked absence of interest in my blog (by me, that is – I am fully aware that outside interest is so near to nothing as to make no odds); if it wasn’t for the fact that I feel the need to check my emails every now and then, I might not have turned the computer on for weeks. Then again, my only other means of listening to music is my walkman thingy, which is hardly the same, and which also is only used when I’m going out for some reason, said reasons being few and far between. Since the prospect of surrendering my entire musical input to the television and other media is a downright distressing one, it may be best that I spend half an hour or so at the PC every once in a while, if only for the sake of my taste and sanity.

Finding mogwai is always a treat! Get yourself a stereo! Consider it a gift!
I have a stereo. The problem is that it’s currently several hundred miles away and too bulky and valuable to be worth bringing all the way up to my university residence for the couple of months I have left here. But thanks for the generous sentiment. And yes, finding Mogwai is certainly an occasion to be celebrated, although I’m not sure if you’re referring to the band or the small fictional creatures.
well, depending on your mood, A mogwai can be fun to play with, (although not in winter - too much rain!) I was refering to the Mogwai - a rather interesting collection of sounds! I couldn't live without my stereo and had to bring it to uni! Let this year be a lesson for the next. Who else are you into?
Next year I shall, if all goes to plan, be working. Actually, that’s a lie. If all goes to plan, I’ll be really rich without having to work, but I find this prospect infeasible. My computer’s sound system, whilst inferior to my stereo, is what I have to make do with. It’s hard enough transporting all my CDs and DVDs through most of the country without having to worry about not damaging my hi-fi. Anyway, other bands I’m into at the moment: Do Make Say Think, Biffy Clyro, Amina, Odd Nosdam, Dosh, The Arcade Fire. That’s just who I’ve happened to be listening to. There are, of course, many others, such as Fog, Godspeed You! Black Emperor/Silver Mt. Zion/etc., Michael Nyman, ...Trail of Dead, Lateduster, and Camping. And so on. I have also, in the past, listened to people like Muse, Eels, Radiohead, The White Stripes, and The Cooper Temple Clause, and I still do on occasion. And we must never forget Eftus Spectun. Ah, Eftus Spectun, they’re quite special. I think I may put a list of my CDs onto the site, if there’s an efficient way of doing so.
